Veer Singh (Shahrukh Khan), a pilot of the Indian Air Force and Zaara (Preity Zinta), a Pakistani girl happen to meet in India and fall in love. It isn’t long before Veer finds himself falling for her however, Veer learns that Zaara is engaged to another man, Raza (Manoj Bajpai), a cruel and humorless Pakistani. Unfortunately, Zaara is engaged to a crude Pakistani man, Raza and so is forced to return.
